Station Location

Five Points is the heart of downtown Atlanta and the central transfer point for the Red, Gold, Blue, and Green Lines. In addition, the station serves 10 bus routes—seven that terminate at the station and three that pass by. Compared to other areas in MARTA’s service network, these routes provide direct access to heavy rail with fewer transfers and shorter travel times, increasing access to opportunities.

Although there is no parking at Five Points, the station is well-connected to local, regional, and shuttle buses. Amenities include a Ride Store, Reduced Fare Office, and Lost and Found.

Five Points is also home to unique attractions like the world’s first transit soccer league, where you can both watch and play soccer, and the Fresh MARTA Market, a seasonal pop-up produce stand open on Fridays. The station is surrounded by government buildings, office towers, hotels, restaurants, and tourist destinations, making it a central hub for both work and play.

Five Points Station Transformation

MARTA is transforming Five Points Station into a vibrant city center with improved transit connectivity, increased safety, and enhanced customer amenities.

The Five Points Station Transformation Project includes:

  • Deconstructing the existing concrete canopy and replacing it with a new canopy that allows for ample light and ventilation

  • Establishing a more centralized bus hub

  • Improving the pedestrian connection on Broad Street

  • Incorporating public art, agriculture, gathering places and other customer amenities

MARTA will begin the first phase on May 17, 2025, with the deconstruction and removal of the concrete canopy. Street-level station access will be maintained on Forsyth Street. Most buses will continue to serve Five Points on Forsyth Street, and their routes modified to terminate at nearby stations.
